Reverse Ransom Box
We flipped the script on ransomware. Instead of paying to get your data back, attendees “decrypted” locked mystery boxes filled with premium tech gear — and the only ransom was showing up and being willing to have a real conversation with your peers.
The concept landed exactly the way we hoped. IT leaders who deal with ransomware threats every day got to laugh about it for once, while still having substantive discussions about incident response planning, backup strategies, and the evolving threat landscape. The irony wasn’t lost on anyone, and that’s what made it work.
This was the event that proved our thesis: you can talk about serious cybersecurity topics without making everyone feel like they’re sitting through a compliance training. Give people a memorable experience, and the business conversations take care of themselves.
